PAL Lady Pilots Demonstrate Girl Power with MBDE
17.05.2019

Pilots are meant to fly and it is rare to see them navigate a race track with a performance car – especially driving Mercedes-Benz AMGs.
Mercedes-Benz made this experience possible through a collaboration between Auto Nation Group, the official Philippine distributor of Mercedes-Benz, and the nation's flagship carrier, Philippine Airlines.
The partnership sent select Philippine Airlines lady pilots to the Sepang Race Track in Malaysia on the latest leg of the Mercedes-Benz Driving Experience (MBDE), a bi-annual regional event wherein participating countries and their representatives get to experience what it is like to drive performance vehicles on the track.
The MBDE offers an opportunity for a unique experience that brings together the key aspects of safety training, along with the thrill of dynamic driving. It also served as a venue in one’s driving skills improvement through the program’s practical sessions and hands-on exercises. Some of the exercises included slalom, braking, double lane change and emergency maneuvers, on a variety of road and tire friction coefficients.
The participants were offered a glance to the dynamic range of performance vehicles by the three-pointed star brand. Some of the vehicles the lady pilots drove were the C200 Coupe, C300 Coupe, C300, CLS450, CLS350, AMG C43, AMG GLA 45, AMG GLC 63, AMG GLC 43, AMG CLS 53, E350, and GLC 300 Coupe.
